| MUIDERZAND, THE NETHERLANDS-(26-4-2003) Today the first event of the United 4 Sailing series started at Muiderzand , as part of a serie of four events in The Netherlands with participating classes: 420, 470, Cadet, Optimist, Europe, Splash and Lasers 4.7/Radial/Standard. All four events have the ISAF Grade 3 status for Olympic Classes.
Two races were sailed in light winds until showers came down and the wind left the race courses.
Sailors waited for wind on the water for a long time, hoping to complete the third scheduled race.
At this moment results are not available yet, but are expected soon.
For tomorrow the weather forecast predicts more wind and more sun. Three races are scheduled for all classes.
The Dutch 420 and 470 class have joined forces and have their first successful event together this season. As reward to these efforts, both classes see a progressing International participation of surrounding countries Belgium and Germany.
